THE GAP BETWEEN MEDICATION AND FEELING WELL
Every "your labs look fine" appointment costs you more than time.
Normal TSH doesn't always mean your body is getting what it needs. Here's what's really going on, and how we fix it.
What You're Experiencing
You've done everything right. You take the medication, keep the appointments, get the labs. And every time: "Your TSH is fine."
Your body disagrees:
You're exhausted by noon
Your thinking is slower than it used to be
The weight won't move
You've wondered more than once if this is just what your life is now
You haven't been imagining it.
1
Why It Keeps Happening
Your medication is doing its job. The problem is what your body does next.
T4 has to convert to Free T3 before your cells can use it. That step can fail while your TSH reads normal. It almost never gets tested.
2
What MTC Does Differently
MTC tests the conversion directly. Free T3 is one of six markers most standard panels skip. The testing is different. So is what we do when the results come back.
3
WE DON'T GUESS. WE TEST.
What we actually do differently.
The difference is not more testing for its own sake. It is testing the actual points where thyroid care breaks down.
MTC’s approach is designed to answer the questions TSH alone cannot answer: production, conversion, usage, immune activity, and whether the treatment plan matches the patient’s symptoms.

Six thyroid markers, not one.
This is the panel that tells us whether your thyroid is producing hormone, converting it, using it, and whether your immune system is attacking it.

Symptom-led protocols, not range-led.
Being “in range” and feeling well are different things. We optimize around how you feel, against labs that confirm the plan is working.
3
Medication options when clinically appropriate.
T3, combination therapy, and natural thyroid options are considered when the clinical picture supports them.
WE DON'T GUESS. WE TEST.
A comprehensive panel matters, but it is not the differentiator by itself. The difference is what MTC does with the full clinical picture.

Three things that change the outcome.
Normal TSH doesn't always mean your body is getting what it needs. Here's what's really going on, and how we fix it.
2
Treat the conversion, not just the production
MTC considers T3 and combination therapy when clinically appropriate — not just T4-only medication.
2
Symptom-led, not range-led
Care is not driven by “in range” alone. The plan is built around how the patient feels, with labs confirming progress.
3
The whole system, not just the gland
Nutrition, gut health, stress, conversion, and integrated weight management are evaluated as part of the thyroid picture.
Here’s how that care model compares.
The panel row stays in the table, but it no longer carries the whole differentiation story.
Based on publicly stated service offerings. Competitor positioning may evolve.
WHY “IN RANGE” ISN’T ENOUGH
Reference ranges were built to catch disease. Not to make you feel well.
A normal lab result can be medically reassuring — and still not explain why you feel exhausted, foggy, or stuck.
WHAT “NORMAL” CAN MEAN
The range is wide on purpose.
It was designed to flag who is clinically sick — not to identify who is functioning at their best. That means two patients can sit inside the same range and have completely different lives.
WHAT YOU MAY BE LIVING
Fine on paper. Not fine in your body.
One person feels like themselves. Another is exhausted, gaining weight, and being told there is nothing wrong. If you have been told you are fine but you do not feel fine, you are not imagining the gap. You are living in it.
This is why “normal” is not the same as optimal — and why the next question has to be what your body is actually doing with thyroid hormone.
THE PERSON WHO BUILT THIS
Built by a provider who couldn’t find this clinic anywhere else.
McCall McPherson, PA-C built Modern Thyroid Clinic because the clinic she needed at 27 did not exist.
McCall McPherson PA-C
CEO - Founder
At 27, she was coming home from work every afternoon at 3:30 and going straight to bed. Fatigue. Brain fog. Weight gain. Her labs were fine. Her doctor said she was fine. She was not fine. She found a specialist who ran a comprehensive evaluation.

Two months later, she had her life back. After years of being told nothing was wrong. The patients who find MTC have often seen 10, 12, or 16 providers before arriving. She built this clinic for them. Because she spent years being one of them. Every clinician at MTC has a personal thyroid or hormone story. That is a hiring criterion, not a coincidence.

FAQ
Questions we hear before most people book
Clear, direct answers before the call.
01
Do you take insurance?

MTC is a cash-pay practice. We provide superbills on request for patients seeking out-of-network reimbursement. HSA and FSA are accepted.

02
What does it cost after the free call?

Health Coach intake is $150 for a 30-minute appointment where we take your full history and order your comprehensive lab panel.

03
Is telehealth as thorough as seeing someone in person?

For most patients, more so. Our evaluations run longer, our panels are more comprehensive, and our follow-up is more consistent.

04
Which states do you serve?

MTC serves most US states except Alaska, Arkansas, North Dakota, and Rhode Island.

05
How quickly can I be seen after the call?

Health Coach intake is typically available within a week of your discovery call.

06
What if MTC isn’t the right fit for me?

We say so on the call. This conversation is designed to give you accurate information, not to move you toward a decision.

No cost. No commitment. Schedule in 2 minutes.
You’ve been patient long enough.
The standard protocol for “labs look fine but you don’t feel fine” is to wait six to twelve months and retest. That’s the model you’re already inside. Every retest is another six to twelve months of this. The 20-minute call is free. You find out whether we’re the right next step. You leave with a clearer read on your situation either way.
